The Full Story
Hey there! We are Anna & Matt - the faces behind Homegrain Creations. Our story begins with family. When we welcomed our first daughter into the world we wanted to spend as much time with her as possible (she's pretty great). With that desire, and our personal backgrounds in woodworking, Homegrain Creations was born (our second baby). Since then we've added another tiny human to the family and are so grateful to be able to spend so much time with our girls! Along with our traditional woodworking tools, we upgraded our shop by adding a laser and a CNC machine. This expanded our product offerings exponentially! While we've created hundreds of projects over the last few years, custom orders are our real bread and butter.
Every year we're in business we continue to learn and grow. While we will still be creating some of the products you know and love, you'll also notice that we will be focusing more on larger builds like build-ins, tables, cabinets, signs, and entertainment centers. These larger products allow us to showcase our skills while also bringing us so much joy - and isn't that what it should really be all about?!
Here's to more learning, growing, and joy-seeking!
A little more about us...
The one behind the screen (and often in the wood shop too!). Anna received her Masters degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire and then proceeded to teach Kindergarten and First Grade for a few years before taking an extended maternity leave. Since then she's put her energy into creating many product designs, learning the ins and outs of small business ownership, (and chasing around a very energetic preschooler and baby)! Every product is created with love and the desire to bring one of the most natural resources, wood, into the many areas of your life.
The master craftsman. Matt has worked in the trades his whole life and has loved every minute of it. He graduated from Granite State College with a bachelor's degree in business management. He is also a combat veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps. Since then he has held a variety of jobs. However, no matter what position he held, he always preferred to be in his wood shop. With no shortage of requests from Anna, he stays busy handcrafting beautiful products that we hope will bring you some joy as well.
We can't say it enough - we LOVE our customers (and their amazing visions!). Our favorite thing to do is to help people bring their visions to life. We've built so many wonderful projects by working closely with our customers to make sure we create something that they will love for years to come. We are here for your woodworking needs, so be sure to reach out to us! We will always work hard to turn your inspiration into a reality.
